how it pours
- 1
fees in
Every trade of $karats pays a creator fee. $karats trades against gold (GLDx), so every fee is already gold. Every 10 minutes those fees are claimed and split between every wallet holding $20 or more, by size. Each wallet's share fills its karats.
- 2
holding
A share uses the smaller of a wallet's last two balances, so buying just before a split counts from the next one.
- 3
the pour
Every 6 hours on the UTC clock, karats pour. Every wallet whose balance stayed level or went up since the last pour gets its karats sent to it as gold. No swap: the fees were gold all along.
- 4
hold through
Hold through the window and your karats pour. If a wallet's balance went down in the window (a sale or a transfer out), that window's share goes back to the holders in the next splits, and the wallet starts fresh at the next pour. Buying more never affects it.
- 5
gold
The gold is GLDx, Backed's tokenized share of the SPDR Gold Trust (GLD) on Solana. It tracks the GLD price. Backed issues it; it is not physical gold or the fund itself, and the issuer can pause or move it. $karats is paired to GLDx on pump.fun, so creator fees arrive as GLDx and are sent on as they are. Your first payment opens a GLDx account in your wallet, paid by the treasury.
- 6
small shares
A poured share below 0.01 GLDx waits and is added to the next pour.
- 7
where it comes from
Creator fees on real trades of the coin, and nothing else. No deposits, no trading.
